HB2770 by Smith, Wayne (Relating to the powers and duties of navigation districts, port authorities, and certain municipalities.), As Engrossed

As a result of this bill there will be a restriction upon the the open meetings law.

The bill adds Section 551.090 to Government Code. It would allow a navigation district, port authority, or board of trustees under Chapter 54, Transportation Code, to have a closed meeting if the information relates to a bid, proposal, or contract for goods or services under negotiation, if disclosure of the information would have a detrimental effect on the entity. It also allows closed meetings to discuss changes to facilities or services of aforementioned entities.
