Pursuant to a notice posted on February 18, 2011, the House Committee on Appropriations met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Pitts, at 7:12 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Pitts; Turner; Button; Chisum; Crownover; Darby; Gooden; Hochberg; King, Susan; Margo; Martinez, "Mando"; Miller, Doug; Morrison; Otto; Riddle; Schwertner; Shelton; and Torres.

A quorum was present.

Department of Agriculture

The chair laid out the subcommittee recommendations for the Department of Agriculture.

The chair pended item number two under technical corrections.

Representative Riddle move to adopt the subcommittee recommendations as amended. The motion was adopted without objection.

Animal Health Commission

The chair laid out the subcommittee recommendations for the Animal Health Commission.

Representative Miller moved to adopt the subcommittee recommendations. The motion was adopted without objection.

Commission on Environmental Quality
