Pursuant to a notice posted on February 13, 2012, the House Committee on Appropriations met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Pitts, at 10:13 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Pitts; Turner; Aycock; Button; Darby; Eiland; Giddings; Gooden; Hochberg; Johnson; King, Susan; Margo; Martinez, "Mando"; McClendon; Miller, Doug; Morrison; Otto; Patrick, Diane; Riddle; Schwertner; Villarreal; and Zerwas.

A quorum was present.

The committee heard from resource witnesses from the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts, the Legislative Budget Board, and the Office of the State Auditor on the state’s economy.

At 12:25 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned.
