Pursuant to a notice posted on February 17, 2012, the House Committee on Border & Intergovernmental Affairs met in a joint hearing with the House Committee on Homeland Security and Public Safety in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Gonzales, Veronica, at 11:35 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Gonzales, Veronica; Weber; Farrar; and Hardcastle.

 

Interim Charge #3 examines the extent of interstate coordination concerning border security and intelligence sharing and determine whether any changes to state law are needed to enhance such coordination and cooperation.

 

Testimony taken/registration recorded.  (See attached witness list.)

 

At 3:48 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
