Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 12, 2011, and receiving permission to meet while the house is in session on May 12, 2011, the House Committee on Business & Industry met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Deshotel, at 2:48 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Deshotel; Orr; Bohac; Giddings; Miller, Sid; Quintanilla; and Workman.

 

A quorum was present.


SB 767

 

Representative Quintanilla moved to reconsider the vote by which the measure was reported from committee.  The motion to reconsider prevailed without objection.

 

Representative Quintanilla moved that SB 767, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Deshotel; Orr; Bohac; Giddings; Miller, Sid; Quintanilla; Workman (7).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        Representatives Garza; Solomons (2).

 

At 2:49 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
