Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 19, 2011, and receiving permission on May 19, 2011 to meet while the house is in session, the House Committee on Business & Industry met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Deshotel, at 5:54 p.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Deshotel; Orr; Garza; Giddings; and Workman.

A quorum was present.

The chair laid out SB 1425.

Representative Workman moved that SB 1425, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Ayes: Representatives Deshotel; Orr; Garza; Giddings; Workman (5).

Nays: None (0).

Present, Not Voting: None (0).

Absent: Representatives Bohac; Miller, Sid; Quintanilla; Solomons (4).

At 5:56 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
