Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 2, 2011, and having been granted permission to meet while the house is in session on May 2, 2011, the House Committee on Calendars met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Hunter, at 6:20 p.m.

Pursuant to House Rule 3, Section 5(2), and House Rule 6, Section 16(f), The House Committee on Calendars proposes the following rule governing floor consideration of HB 12:

Each original amendment to C.S.H.B. 12 that will be offered during second reading consideration must be filed with the chief clerk not later than  10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2011.

Representative Hunter moved to adopt the proposed rule for floor consideration on HB 12. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
