Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 2, 2011, and with permission granted to meet while the house is in session on May 2, 2011, the House Committee on Corrections met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Madden, at 3:31 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Madden; Cain; Marquez; Perry; White; and Workman.

The chair laid out SB 1886, companion to HB 3825.

 

Representative Marquez moved that SB 1886, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
