Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on June 28, 2011 and being granted permission to meet while the house was in session, the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Gallego, at 7:15 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Gallego; Hartnett; Aliseda; Burkett; Carter; Rodriguez, Eddie; and Zedler.

 

A quorum was present.

The chair laid out SB 29.

 

(Representative Christian now present.)

 

Representative Hartnett moved that SB 29, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Gallego; Hartnett; Aliseda; Burkett; Carter; Christian; Zedler (7).

 

Nays:                           Representative Rodriguez, Eddie (1).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        Representative Davis, Yvonne (1).

 

At 7:39 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
