Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor and
with permission granted to meet while the House is in session on May 5, 2011,
the House Committee on Technology met in a formal meeting and was called to
order by the chair, Representative Pena, at 3:38 p.m.
The initial quorum call was answered as follows:
Representatives Pena; Button; and Howard, Donna.
A quorum was present.
SB 442
The chair laid out SB 442.
The chair recognized Representative Smith, Wayne to
explain SB 442.
(Representative Munoz, Jr. now present.)
Representative Button moved that SB 442,
without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the
recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on
Local and Consent Calendars. The motion
prevailed by the following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Pena;
Button; Howard, Donna; Munoz, Jr. (4).
Nays: None (0).

Absent: Representative Eissler

SB 988
The chair laid out SB 988.
Representative Button offered a complete committee
substitute.
The chair recognized Representative Larson to
explain SB 988.
The committee substitute was adopted without
objection.
Representative Munoz, Jr. moved that SB 988, as
substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and
Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed
by the following record vote:
