Pursuant to a notice posted on September 19, 2012, the House Committee on Elections met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Taylor, Larry, at 10:08 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Taylor, Larry; Burkett; Farias; Isaac; and King, Phil.

 

A quorum was present.

 


 

INTERIM CHARGE NUMBER 2

 

The chair laid out Interim Charge Number 2 which states,” Examine the benefits and risks of using mobile voting stations in Texas.”

The chair laid out Interim Charge Number 3 which states,” Examine ways to more clearly define a residence address for voter registration purposes, giving special consideration to college-age students.”
