Pursuant to a notice posted on March 4, 2011 and permission to meet while the House is in session during bill referral granted on March 9, 2011, the House Committee on Higher Education met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Branch, at 2:15 p.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Branch; Alonzo; Bonnen; Brown; Howard, Donna; Johnson; and Lewis.
