Pursuant to a notice posted on April 5, 2012, the House Committee on Higher Education met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Branch, at 10:15 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Branch; Castro; Bonnen; Howard, Donna; Johnson; Patrick, Diane; and Raney.

A quorum was present.

The Chair laid out the following Interim Study Charge:

Study and make recommendations for significantly improving the state's manufacturing capability.

At 2:01 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
