Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 26, 2011, the House Committee on Judiciary & Civil Jurisprudence met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Jackson, Jim, at 7:15 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Jackson, Jim; Lewis; Bohac; Castro; Raymond; Scott; and Woolley.

 

A quorum was present.

The chair moved to reconsider the vote by which the measure was reported from committee. 

 

The motion to reconsider prevailed without objection.

 

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Scott moved that HB 3833, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
