Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 20, 2011, the House Committee on Licensing & Administrative Procedures met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Hamilton, at 11:55 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Hamilton; Quintanilla; Harless; Kuempel; Menendez; and Thompson.

 

A quorum was present.

SB 923

 

The chair laid out SB 923.

 

Representative Kuempel moved that SB 923, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Hamilton; Quintanilla; Geren; Harless; Kuempel; Menendez; Thompson (7).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        Representatives Driver; Gutierrez (2).

 

SB 1450

 

The chair laid out SB 1450.

 

Representative Kuempel offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Kuempel moved that SB 1450, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
