Pursuant to permission granted to meet while the
house is in session and an announcement from the house floor on May 9, 2011,
the House Committee on Local & Consent Calendars met in a formal meeting
and was called to order by the chair, Representative Thompson, at 6:57 p.m.
The initial quorum call was answered as follows:
Representatives Thompson; Bohac; Darby; Elkins; Farias; Harper-Brown; Larson;
Marquez; Orr; and Scott.
A quorum was present.
Representative Thompson moved that the floor
amendments to HB 590, HB 2316, HB 2425, HB 2702, and
HB 3079 be approved to be offered during consideration of the Local,
Consent, and Resolutions Calendar for Wednesday, May 11, 2011. The motion prevailed without objection.
Representative Thompson moved that the following
measures be transferred over to the House
Calendars Committee: HB 473, HB 2049, HB 2611,
HB 3331, HB 1843, HB 2423, HB 1489. The motion prevailed without objection.
Representative Thompson moved that the following
measures not be placed on the calendar at this time: HB 2942, HB 3089, HB 3743,
HB 3776, SB 247, SB 400, SB 433, SB 475, SB 508,
SB 512, SB 563, SB 564, SB 629, SB 813. The motion
prevailed without objection.
Pursuant to the suspension of all necessary rules on
May 9, 2011, Representative Marquez moved to place the following measures on
the Local, Consent, and Resolutions Calendar for Wednesday, May 11, 2011: HB 590, HB 1128, HB 1784,
