CORRECTED MINUTES

 

 

On April 12, 2011, the House Committee on Public Education authorized the correction of the  minutes for the meeting of the House Committee on Public Education held on March 15, 2011. The following are the corrected minutes for that meeting:

 

Pursuant to a notice posted on March 10, 2011, the House Committee on Public Education met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Eissler, at 2:03 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Eissler; Hochberg; Allen; Guillen; Huberty; Shelton; Smith, Todd; Strama; and Weber.

 

A quorum was present.


 

HB 135

 

The chair laid out HB 135 as pending business.

 

Representative Hochberg offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

The chair recognized Representative Villarreal to explain the committee substitute for HB 135.

 

Representative Strama moved that HB 135, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Representative Hochberg moved to reconsider the vote by which HB 360 was mistakenly reported instead of HB 370.  The motion to reconsider prevailed without objection.

 

Representative Hochberg moved that HB 370, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
