Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on June 10, 2011, the House Committee on Public Education met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Eissler, at 2:41 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Eissler; Hochberg; Allen; Aycock; Dutton; Huberty; Shelton; Smith, Todd; and Strama.

 

A quorum was present.

 

HB 19

 

The chair laid out HB 19.

 

(Representative Weber now present.)

 

Representative Huberty moved that HB 19, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Eissler; Aycock; Huberty; Shelton; Smith, Todd; Weber (6).

 

Nays:                           Representatives Hochberg; Allen; Dutton; Strama (4).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        Representative Guillen (1).

 

 

At 2:45 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
