Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 4, 2011 and pursuant to permission granted for the committee to meet while the house is in session during the reading and referral of bills, the House Committee on Public Health met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Kolkhorst, at 2:50 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Kolkhorst; Coleman; Davis, Sarah; Gonzales, Veronica; King, Susan; Laubenberg; Schwertner; Truitt; and Zerwas.

The chair laid out HB 655 as pending business.

 

Representative Laubenberg moved that HB 655, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
