Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 21, 2011, the House Committee on Public Health met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Kolkhorst, at 1:08 p.m.

Representative Truitt offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Schwertner moved that HB 1983, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
