Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on
May 16, 2011, and pursuant to permission granted for the committee to meet
while the house was in session, the House Committee on Culture, Recreation
& Tourism met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair,
Representative Guillen, at 3:04 p.m.
The initial quorum call was answered as follows:
Representatives Guillen; Elkins; King, Tracy O.; Kuempel; Larson; and Smith,
Todd.
A quorum was present.

The chair laid out SB 252.
The chair offered a complete committee substitute.
The committee substitute was adopted without
objection.
Representative Kuempel moved that SB 252, as
substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The
motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Guillen; Elkins; King, Tracy O.; Kuempel; Larson; Smith, Todd (6).
Nays: None (0).
