Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on June 16, 2011, and granted permission on June 16, 2011 to meet while the house was in session, the House Committee on Culture, Recreation & Tourism met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Guillen, at 12:45 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Guillen; Dukes; King, Tracy O.; Larson; and Price.

 

A quorum was present.

 

HCR 14

 

The chair laid out HCR 14.

 

The chair recognized Representative Raymond to explain HCR 14.

 

The chair recognized Representative Raymond to close on HCR 14.

 

Representative Dukes moved that HCR 14, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Guillen; Dukes; King, Tracy O.; Larson; Price (5).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        Representatives Elkins; Deshotel; Kuempel; Smith, Todd (4).

 

At 12:54 p.m., on the motion of Representative Guillen and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
