Pursuant to a notice posted on March 18, 2011, and permission granted by the House to meet during the reading and referral of bills on March 22, 2011, the House Committee on Rules & Resolutions met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the Chair, Representative McClendon, at 11:47 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives McClendon; Parker; Gonzalez, Naomi; Harper-Brown; Howard, Charlie; King, Tracy O.; Sheffield; and Workman.

A quorum was present.

Representative Workman moved to place the following measures on the Congratulatory and Memorial Resolutions Calendar for Thursday, March 24, 2011: SCR 28, SCR 29, HR 513, HR 580, HR 611, HR 618, HR 656, HR 658, HR 684, HR 749, HR 793, HR 794.

The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Ayes: Representatives McClendon; Parker; Gonzalez, Naomi; Harper-Brown; Howard, Charlie; King, Tracy O.; Perry; Sheffield; Workman (9).

Nays: None (0).

Present, Not Voting: None (0).

Absent: Representatives Farias; Lozano (2).

At 11:57 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
