Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on
April 11, 2011, and being granted permission to meet while the house is in
session during bill referral on April 11, 2011, the House Committee on State
Affairs met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair,
Representative Cook, at 2:37 p.m.
The initial quorum call was answered as follows:
Representatives Cook; Menendez; Craddick; Frullo; Geren; Harless; Huberty;
Oliveira; and Solomons.
A quorum was present.
HB 2249
The chair laid out HB 2249 as pending business.
Representative Solomons moved that HB 2249,
without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the
recommendation that it do pass and be printed.
The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Menendez; Craddick; Frullo; Geren; Harless; Huberty; Oliveira; Solomons (9).
Nays: None (0).

The chair laid out HB 2605 as pending business.
The chair offered a complete committee substitute.
The committee substitute was adopted without
objection.
Representative Solomons moved that HB 2605, as
substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The
motion prevailed by the following record vote:
