Pursuant to a suspension of the 5-day posting rule
on May 10, 2011, and permission granted on May 10, 2011 to meet while the house
was in session, and a suspension of the 5-day posting rule on May 11, 2011, to
allow the committee to consider SB 773, SB 781, SB 898, SB 937, SB 981, SB
1002, SB 1133, SB 1393 and SB 1910, the House Committee on State Affairs met in
a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Cook, at
8:08 a.m.
The initial quorum call was answered as follows:
Representatives Cook; Menendez; Frullo; Gallego; Geren; Harless; and Huberty.
A quorum was present.
The chair directed that the April 13, 2011 minutes
for the House Committee on State Affairs be corrected. The corrected minutes
were authorized without objection.
