Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 28, 2011 and permission to meet while the house is in session on April 28, 2011, the House Committee on State Sovereignty, Select met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Creighton, at 4:15 p.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Creighton; Branch; Darby; and Pitts.

A quorum was present.

HB 2923

The chair laid out HB 2923 as pending business.

Representative Pitts offered a complete committee substitute.

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

Representative Pitts moved that HB 2923, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Ayes: Representatives Creighton; Branch; Darby; Pitts (4).

Nays: None (0).

Present, Not Voting: None (0).

Absent: Representatives Martinez Fischer; Miller, Sid; Thompson (3).

At 4:18 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
