Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 13, 2011, and permission granted to meet while the House is in session, the House Committee on Transportation met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Phillips, at 2:21 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Phillips; Darby; Fletcher; Harper-Brown; McClendon; and Pickett.

 

A quorum was present.


 

SB 1035

 

The chair laid out SB 1035.

 

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.

 

(Representative Davis, Yvonne now present.)

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

The chair moved that SB 1035, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Phillips; Darby; Davis, Yvonne; Fletcher; Harper-Brown; McClendon; Pickett (7).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        Representatives Bonnen; Lavender; Martinez, "Mando"; Rodriguez, Eddie (4).

 

SJR 13

 

The chair laid out SJR 13.

 

(Representative Martinez, "Mando" now present.)

 

Representative Harper-Brown offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Harper-Brown moved that SJR 13, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Phillips; Darby; Davis, Yvonne; Fletcher; Harper-Brown; Martinez, "Mando"; McClendon; Pickett (8).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

At 2:26 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
