Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on
May 18, 2011, to meet at 3:30p.m., at 3N.4, the House Committee on Urban
Affairs met in a formal meeting to consider S.B.649 and S.B.1234 and was called
to order by the chair, Representative Dutton, at 3:36 p.m.
The initial quorum call was answered as follows:
Representatives Dutton; Callegari; Mallory Caraway; Parker; and Paxton.
A quorum was present.

The chair explained SB 1234.
The chair offered a complete committee substitute.
The committee substitute was adopted without
objection.
Representative Dutton moved that SB 1234, as
substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The
motion failed by the following record vote:

SB 649, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with
the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee
on Local and Consent Calendars. The
motion prevailed by the following record vote:
