Pursuant to suspension of Senate Rule 11.10 and
11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Administration was held on
Tuesday, February 1, 2011, at Senator Eltife's Desk.

The chair called the meeting to order at 12:25 PM.
There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:
At 12:25 PM. Senator Uresti assumed the chair.
The chair laid out SB 445 and recognized the author,
Senator Eltife, to explain the bill.
No witnesses testified or registered on SB 445.
The chair laid out SJR 18 and recognized the author,
Senator Eltife, to explain the bill.
No witnesses testified or registered on SJR 18.
The chair moved that the public testimony be closed;
without objection, it was so ordered.
Senator Eltife moved that SJR 18 be reported
favorably to the Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be
printed. Senators Whitmire and Zaffirini
asked unanimous consent to be showing voting aye; there being no objection it
was so ordered. The motion carried with
a record vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 0 absent.
Senator Eltife moved that SB 445 be reported
favorably to the Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be
printed. Senators Whitmire and Zaffirini
asked unanimous consent to be showing voting aye; there being no objection it
was so ordered. The motion carried with
a record vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 0 absent.
At 12:28 PM. Senator Eltife resumed the chair.
There being no further business, at 12:28 PM Senator
Eltife moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the
chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
