to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public
hearing of the Senate Committee on Administration was held on Tuesday, May 17,
2011, in the Betty King Committee Room at Austin, Texas.

The
chair called the meeting to order at 8:40 AM.
The chair laid out the following bills and resolutions until a quorum
could be established:
The
chair laid out HB 1128 and recognized Senator Zaffirini, in the absence of the
Senate sponsor, to explain the bill.
Witnesses
registering but not testifying on the bill are shown on the attached list.
The
chair moved that the public testimony be closed; without objection, it was so
ordered.
The
chair laid out HB 3616 and recognized Senator Uresti, in the absence of the
Senate sponsor, to explain the bill.

Uresti sent up a committee substitute; the chair recognized Senator Uresti to
explain the difference between the committee substitute and the senate bill as
filed.

chair moved that the list of bills recommended for placement on the Local and

the exception of SB 1756. The motion carried with a vote of 4 ayes, 0 nays, 3
absent, and 0 present not voting.

recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record
