Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Agriculture & Rural Affairs was held on Tuesday, November 1, 2011, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.012, at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 9:00 AM. There being a quorum present, the chair made opening remarks and invited members of the Senate Committee on Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Senate Committee on Natural Resources to make comments.

The Chair opened invited testimony. Resource witnesses testifying on Interim Charge No. 1 (drought and wildfire) are shown on the attached list.

The chair moved that the invited testimony be closed; without objection, it was so ordered.

There being no further business, at 3:04 PM Senator Hegar moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
