Pursuant to suspension of Senate Rules 11.10, 11.18, and 11.19, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Business & Commerce was held on Tuesday, June 14, 2011, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.016, at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 10:00 AM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

Senator Carona moved the committee operate during the interim under the same rules as those used in the 82^nd Regular Session. There being no objection, it was so ordered.

At 10:10 AM Senator Watson assumed the chair.

The chair laid out SB 3 and recognized the author, Senator Carona, to explain the bill.

Witnesses testifying and registering on the bill are shown on the attached list.

Senator Carona moved that SB 3 be left pending; without objection, it was so ordered.

There being no further business, at 1:40 PM Senator Carona moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
