Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Economic Development was held on Monday, January 30, 2012, in the Senate Chamber.

The chair called the meeting to order at 1:40 PM. The following business was transacted:

The chair announced that the committee would operate under the same rules adopted during the 82^nd regular session.

The Committee took invited testimony on its interim charges (see witness list).

Senator Van de Putte was in attendance for the panel concerning the implementation of SB 988 82(R), the Cybersecurity, Education, and Economic Development Council.

There being no further business, at 4:17 PM Senator Jackson moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
