Senator Van de Putte called the meeting to order at
9:02 AM. The following business was transacted:
The chair laid out SB 1410 and recognized the
author, Senator Duncan, to explain the bill.
Senator Van de Putte sent up a committee substitute; the chair
recognized Senator Duncan to explain the difference between the committee
substitute and the senate bill as filed. Witnesses testifying and registering
on the bill are shown on the attached list. The chair moved that the public
testimony be closed; without objection, it was so ordered.
Senator Van de Putte moved that SB 1410 be left
pending; without objection, it was so ordered.
The chair laid out SB 1620 and recognized the
author, Senator Duncan, to explain the bill. Senator Patrick sent up a
committee substitute; the chair recognized Senator Duncan to explain the
difference between the committee substitute and the senate bill as filed. Witnesses testifying and registering on the

ordered. Senator Patrick moved that SB
208 do not pass but that CSSB 208 be reported back to the Senate with the
recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record
vote of 8 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 1 absent. Senator Patrick moved that the bill be
recommended for placement on the Local & Uncontested Calendar; without
objection, it was so ordered.
As
a matter of pending business, the chair laid out SB 1410. Senator Seliger moved adoption of the
committee substitute previously sent up; without objection, it was so
ordered. Senator Seliger moved that SB
1410 do not pass but that CSSB 1410 be reported back to the Senate with the
recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record
vote of 8 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 1 absent. Senator Seliger
moved that the bill be recommended for placement on the Local & Uncontested
Calendar; without objection, it was so ordered.
As
a matter of pending business, the chair laid out SB 1620. Senator Patrick sent up Committee Amendment
1 to the proposed substitute previously
sent up and moved adoption; without objection, the amendment was adopted. Senator Patrick requested unanimous consent
to incorporate the amendment into the committee substitute; without objection,
it was so ordered. Senator Patrick then moved that the committee substitute be
adopted; without objection, it was so ordered. Senator Davis moved that SB 1620
do not pass but that CSSB 1620 be reported back to the Senate with the
recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record
vote of 8 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 1 absent. Senator Davis moved that the bill be
recommended for placement on the Local & Uncontested Calendar; without
objection, it was so ordered.
As
a matter of pending business, the chair laid out SB 718. Senator Davis moved that SB 718 do not pass
but that CSSB 718 be reported back to the Senate with the recommendation that
it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record vote of 8 ayes, 0
nays, 0 present not voting, and 1 absent.
Senator Patrick moved that the bill be recommended for placement on the
Local & Uncontested Calendar; without objection, it was so ordered.
Senator Carona requested
unanimous consent to be shown voting aye on SB 208, SB 718, SB 1410, and SB
1620; there being no objection, it was so ordered.
Senator West requested unanimous
consent to be shown voting aye on SB 208, SB 1410,
and
SB 1620; there being no objection, it was so ordered.
There
being no further business, at 2:26 PM Senator Shapiro moved that the Committee
