Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Finance was held on Wednesday, February 2, 2011, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.036, at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 8:46 AM.

 

The clerk called roll.

 

The following members arrived after roll call:

There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

 

Senator Ogden laid out Senate Bill 1 as pending business.

 

Senator Hinojosa assumed the chair.

 

Public testimony was heard on SB 1 - Article II.  Witnesses testifying and registering on the bill are shown on the attached list.

 

There being no further business, at 10:45 AM Senator Hinojosa moved that the Committee stand recessed until 1:30 PM.  Without objection, it was so ordered.

 

At 1:34 PM Senator Hinojosa reconvened the hearing.

 

Testimony continued.

Senator Hinojosa moved that Senate Bill 1 be left pending.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
