Zaffirini, in the absence of the author, to explain the bill.

without objection, it was so ordered.

Senator Ogden moved that SB 1051 be left pending;

Senator Ogden announced the Committee’s schedule for
the week. The Committee will meet on
March 30th to take up Article I and Article IV.
The Committee will meet on March 31st to take up Article II, and the
Committee will meet on April 1st to take up Article V and any pending business.

SB 73 and recognized the author, Senator Nelson, to explain the bill.
Senator Zaffirini moved to reconsider the vote by
which the committee substitute was adopted for the purpose of amending the
committee substitute, then rolling the amendments into the new committee
substitute. Without objection, it was so
ordered.
Senator Hinojosa assumed the chair.

Senator Ogden sent up Committee Amendment 1 and
moved adoption; without objection, the amendment was adopted.
Senator Nelson sent up Committee Amendment 2 and
moved adoption; without objection, the amendment was adopted.
Senator Nelson requested unanimous consent to
incorporate the amendments into the committee substitute; without objection, it
was so ordered. Senator Nelson then moved that the new committee substitute be
adopted; without objection, it was so ordered. Senator Nelson moved that SB 73
do not pass but that CSSB 73 be reported back to the Senate with the
recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record
vote of 15 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 0 absent.
Senator Ogden resumed the chair.

SB 201. Senator Ogden, in the absence of
the author, explained the bill. The
committee substitute was adopted at a previous hearing.
Senator Lucio, Jr. moved that SB 201 do not pass but
that CSSB 201 be reported back to the Senate with the recommendation that it do
pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record vote of 15 ayes, 0 nays,
0 present not voting, and 0 absent.
Senator Ogden moved that the bill be recommended for
placement on the Local & Uncontested Calendar; without objection, it was so
ordered.

SB 326 and recognized the author, Senator Duncan, to explain the bill.
Senator Duncan moved that SB 326 be reported favorably
to the Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The
motion carried with a record vote of 15 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and
0 absent.
