Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with
Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on
Finance was held on Wednesday, March 30, 2011, in the Capitol Extension, Room
E1.036, at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 9:02 AM.
The following business was transacted:
The chair announced that the Committee would stand
recessed pending the arrival of a quorum.
At 9:16 AM the Committee reconvened.
The clerk called roll. There was a quorum present.
Senator Ogden moved to suspend the 24 hour layout
rule on the subcommittee report for Article II; without objection, it was so
ordered.
Senator Ogden laid out the recommendations for
Article I.
Legislative Budget Board gave testimony on the
recommendation document.
Senator Ogden moved that the Committee adopt the
recommendations for Article I, as amended.
The motion carried with a record vote of 13 ayes, 0
nays, 0 present not voting, and 2 absent.
Senator Hinojosa laid out recommendations for
Article IV.
Legislative Budget Board gave testimony on the
recommendation document.
Senator Hinojosa assumed the chair.
Senator Ogden moved that the Committee adopt the
recommendations for Article IV, as amended.
The motion carried with a record vote of 13 ayes, 0
nays, 0 present not voting, and 2 absent.
Senator Ogden resumed the chair.
Senator Williams submitted a motion in writing
requesting to be shown voting aye on the recommendations for Article I.
Senator West submitted a motion in writing
requesting to be shown voting aye on the recommendations for Article I and
Article IV.
There being no further business, at 10:44 AM Senator
Ogden moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair.
Without objection, it was so ordered.
