Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Subcommittee on Public Education Funding was held on Tuesday, February 15, 2011, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.036, at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 9:13 AM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

Other Senators attending: Senator Wendy Davis.

Senator Shapiro made opening remarks to the Committee.

Senator Shapiro called the following invited witnesses to provide testimony.  See attached list.

At 10:43 AM Senator Shapiro moved that the committee stand recessed until 30 minutes after the adjournment of the Senate; without objection, it was so ordered. 

Pursuant to the suspension of Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18 at 1:00 PM the Subcommittee reconvened in E1.028.

Invited testimony continued. See attached list.

At 1:16 PM Senator Duncan assumed the chair.

There being no further business, at 1:58 PM Senator Duncan moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
