Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Subcommittee on Public Education Funding was held on Wednesday, March 2, 2011, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.036, at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 9:05 AM.  There being a quorum present at 9:10 AM, the following business was transacted:

 

Senator Shapiro called the following invited witnesses to provide testimony. See attached list.

 

At 10:06 AM Senator Duncan assumed the chair.

 

At 10:19 AM Senator Shapiro resumed the chair.

 

There being no further business, at 10:35 AM Senator Shapiro moved that the Committee stand recessed until Thursday, March 3, 2011. Without objection, it was so ordered.
