Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Subcommittee on Public Education Funding was held on Monday, March 7, 2011, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.012, at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 9:10 AM. The following business was transacted:

Senator Shapiro made opening remarks to the Committee.

At 9:11 AM the clerk called the roll and a quorum was established.

Senator Shapiro called the following invited witnesses to provide testimony. See attached list.

There being no further business, at 10:11 AM Senator Shapiro moved that the Committee stand

recessed until Wednesday, March 9, 2011. Without objection, it was so ordered.
