Pursuant to suspension of Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Subcommittee on Articles VI & VII was held on Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at Senator Williams' Desk.

The chair called the meeting to order at 1:06 PM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

 

The chair announced the following work groups:

 

Senator Estes and Senator Lucio to work on Department of Agriculture, Animal Health Commission, Soil and Water Conservation Board, and Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

 

Senator Eltife and Senator Lucio to work on General Land Office, Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, Railroad Commission, and Water Development Board.

 

Senator Whitmire and Senator Nelson to work on Department of Housing and Community Affairs, Texas Lottery Commission, and Texas Workforce Commission.

 

Senator Williams to work on Department of Motor Vehicles, Department of Rural Affairs, and Department of Transportation.

 

There being no further business, at 1:13 PM Senator Williams moved that the Subcommittee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
