Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Open Government was held on Monday, November 26, 2012, in the Betty King Committee Room at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 10:13 AM. The following business was transacted:

The chair made opening remarks regarding the Committee.

Senator Ellis made remarks regarding interim charge one and called panel one to provide invited testimony (see attached witness list).

Senator Ellis made remarks regarding interim charge two and called panel one to provide invited testimony (see attached witness list).

Senator Ellis made remarks regarding interim charge three and called panel one to provide invited testimony (see attached witness list).

Senator Ellis made remarks regarding interim charge four and called panel one to provide invited testimony (see attached witness list).

At 12:22 PM Senator Ellis moved that the Committee stand recessed until 12:27 PM. Without objection, it was so ordered.

At 12:27 PM Senator Ellis reconvened the meeting.

The chair opened the floor for public testimony for all interim charges and made remarks regarding interim charge five. Witnesses testifying and registering on the committee charges are shown on the attached list.

There being no further business, at 12:53 PM Senator Ellis moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
