At 9:06 AM Senator Uresti assumed the chair.
The chair laid out SB 26 and recognized the author,
Senator Zaffirini, to explain the bill.
Senator Uresti moved that SB 26 be left pending;
without objection, it was so ordered.
The chair laid out SB 56 and recognized the author,
Senator Zaffirini, to explain the bill.
Senator Zaffirini sent up a committee substitute;
the chair recognized Senator Zaffirini to explain the difference between the
committee substitute and the senate bill as filed.
Senator Uresti moved that SB 56 be left pending;
without objection, it was so ordered.

Pursuant to the suspension of Senate Rules 11.10 and
11.18, Senator Nelson reconvened the Senate Committee on Health and Human
Services upon adjournment of the Senate at her desk.
At 2:23 PM Senator Nelson reconvened the meeting.

that the previously adopted CSSB 506 be reported back to the Senate with the
recommendation that it do pass and be printed.

voting, and 0 absent.

SB 546 and recognized the author, Senator Deuell, to explain the bill.
Senator Deuell moved that SB 546 do not pass but
that the previously adopted CSSB 546 be reported back to the Senate with the
recommendation that it do pass and be printed.
The motion carried with a record vote of 8 ayes, 1 nays, 0 present not
voting, and 0 absent.

SB 848 and recognized the author, Senator Patrick, to explain the bill.
Senator Patrick sent up Committee Amendment 1 and
moved adoption; without objection, the amendment was adopted.
Senator Patrick requested unanimous consent to
incorporate the amendment into the previously adopted committee substitute to
create a new committee substitute; without objection, it was so ordered.
Senator Patrick then moved that the new committee substitute be adopted;
without objection, it was so ordered. Senator Patrick moved that SB 848 do not
pass but that CSSB 848 be reported back to the Senate with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record vote of 6
ayes, 3 nays, 0 present not voting, and 0 absent.

Senator Deuell moved adoption of the committee
substitute that was previously sent up; without objection, it was so ordered.

do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record vote of 9 ayes, 0
