Transportation & Homeland Security was held on Wednesday, February 9, 2011,
in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.016, at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 8:01 AM.
There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

Senator Watson moved adoption of the committee
rules. There being no objection, it was so ordered.
The chair introduced committee staff, namely, Ryan
LaRue, Committee Director, Tulsi Reddy, Committee Clerk, JW Galloway, Assistant
Committee Clerk, Libby Nezda, Policy Analyst, Jonathan Sierra-Ortega, Policy
Analyst, Danielle Oxford, Intern.
The chair called the following individuals to
provide invited testimony on transportation funding, PPP authority, and the
expiration of that authority for TxDOT and RMAs (see attached witness list).
There being no further business, at 9:47 AM Senator
Williams moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the
chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
