Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Transportation & Homeland Security was held on Tuesday, January 17, 2012, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.016, at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 10:00 AM. There being a quorum present at 11:18 am, the following business was transacted:

The chair announced that the committee would operated under the same rules adopted during the 82(R) session.

The chair called the following individuals to provide invited testimony on the wildland fire interim charge (see attached witness list).

There being no further business, at 2:37 PM Senator Williams moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
