The subcommittee will meet jointly with the subcommittee of Business and Commerce to discuss bundling of small water and sewer systems by a single investor-owned utility, and to consider the causes of and regulatory issues, if any, associated with rapidly escalating water and sewer utility rates for Texans who live in unincorporated and rural areas of the state, and recommend changes in law if needed.
Invited and public testimony will be heard.
