CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Section 14, Article IV, Texas Constitution, |
|
|
authorizes the governor to disapprove a bill passed by both houses |
|
|
of the legislature and presented to the governor for approval; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Section 14, Article IV, Texas Constitution, further |
|
|
authorizes the legislature, if the legislature is in session, to |
|
|
reconsider and approve a bill the governor has disapproved, and as a |
|
|
result the bill shall become law; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The governor has disapproved H.B. No. 2138, as |
|
|
passed by the 83rd Legislature, Regular Session, 2013, while the |
|
|
legislature is in session; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED by the 83rd Legislature of the State of Texas, 1st |
|
|
Called Session, 2013, That the legislature in accordance with |
|
|
Section 14, Article IV, Texas Constitution, hereby approve H.B. No. |
|
|
2138, and that bill hereby becomes law notwithstanding the |
|
|
objections of the governor. |
