R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Unique, locally owned businesses add to the richness
  and prosperity of Texas communities, and on July 8, 2013, one such
  enterprise, La Casa del Puro cigar lounge, is celebrating its
  second anniversary in El Paso; and
         WHEREAS, Founded by Pastor Crespo, Jr., in 2011, La Casa del
  Puro features a humidor stocked with fine cigars from around the
  world; its elegant wood-and-leather decor and its many amenities,
  such as a professional game room, several televisions, a library,
  and a bar, provide cigar aficionados with a comfortable and
  collegial environment in which to enjoy their pastime; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Crespo served his nation in the U.S. Army's
  warrant officer corps for 20 years, and for 11 of those years he
  worked abroad at a succession of U.S. embassies as a member of the
  Defense Attache System; after retiring from the military, this
  accomplished gentleman settled in El Paso with his family; and
         WHEREAS, Situated in the heart of the city's museum district,
  La Casa del Puro contributes greatly to the economic revival and
  cultural diversity of El Paso's downtown and serves as a testament
  to Mr. Crespo's creativity and entrepreneurial spirit; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Pastor
  Crespo, Jr., on the success of La Casa del Puro and extend to him and
  his staff sincere best wishes for continued good fortune; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for La Casa del Puro as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
