R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Timothy Anderson of Kirbyville has been named a |
|
|
special honoree in the 2013 HoustonPBS Kids Go! Writing Contest; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This annual competition encourages local |
|
|
schoolchildren to submit creative, illustrated works of fiction; |
|
|
the HoustonPBS station received hundreds of entries from |
|
|
kindergarteners and first-, second-, and third-grade authors and |
|
|
artists, and the winning stories are featured on the station's |
|
|
website; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Timothy Anderson is a third-grader at Kirbyville |
|
|
Elementary School; his exceptional work earned him recognition from |
|
|
the contest judges for the second consecutive year, and he was one |
|
|
of only two students who was a repeat honoree; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This unique competition inspires creativity among |
|
|
Texas youngsters, and Timothy may indeed take great pride in |
|
|
placing among the contest's top entrants; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Timothy |
|
|
Anderson on his selection as a special honoree in the 2013 |
|
|
HoustonPBS Kids Go! Writing Contest and extend to him sincere best |
|
|
wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Anderson as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
