R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Rocio Diaz is graduating as valedictorian of the |
|
senior class of Mesquite High School in 2013; and |
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only |
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
highest academic standards; the student who garners this coveted |
|
distinction must demonstrate a thorough understanding of a wide |
|
range of subjects, from math and science to language arts and social |
|
studies, yet the rewards of the countless hours of study and |
|
preparation are myriad; and |
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of proud parents Juanita Martinez and |
|
Carlos Diaz, Ms. Diaz plans to continue her education at The |
|
University of Texas at Austin, studying biology; she hopes to one |
|
day establish a charitable institution; and |
|
WHEREAS, Throughout her academic career, Rocio Diaz has |
|
earned the respect and admiration of her teachers and classmates at |
|
Mesquite High School, and her exceptional scholastic ability, hard |
|
work, and commitment to excellence have opened the way to limitless |
|
opportunities for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore, be |
|
it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Rocio Diaz, |
|
valedictorian of the Mesquite High School Class of 2013, and extend |
|
to her sincere best wishes for continued success as she begins the |
|
next exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Diaz as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
